Katie + Sean's Santa Cruz Elopement

When good friends of mine, Katie and Sean, reached out to me to photograph them after their elopement in my hometown of Santa Cruz it was a special moment.

Special, for me to once again get the opportunity to be a part of such an important moment in my clients/friends lives. Special, because this would be my first session since the Covid-19 pandemic turned our world, and our industry, upside down. Special, because Katie and Sean were one of the many couples who had to make the impossible decision to cancel their current wedding plans, readjust, and rethink what being married meant to them as a couple.

I felt so special to be one of the only people that spent Katie and Sean’s wedding day with them (parents could not attend due to traveling restrictions), and it made it all the more important to me to capture this important moment in their life for them, and for their loved ones.

Katie and Sean eloped at Santa Cruz City Hall, and afterwards they asked me to meet them somewhere casual for their session. Beer Thirty Bottle Shop & Pour House in Soquel felt like the perfect spot for a casual session - and a congratulatory drink!

Alaina + Ryan's Carmel Valley Wedding

Alaina and Ryan’s wedding day was a gorgeous warm day in September. The couple mixed their day with the warmth of family and the beauty that Carmel brings in fall. The ceremony was set at the Groom’s parents home, overlooking Carmel Valley. Their reception immediatley followed at the adorable local favorite Corkscrew Cafe. I loved every part of this beautiful wedding day and couple!

The Mauldin Family

I am finally posting this sweet family maternity session from this past fall! I've known Megan since we were kids, and it has been so much fun to watch her family grow over the years! As you can tell from this session their eldest daughter Audrey is a bundle of fun!

My beautiful cousins (inside and out) welcomed their first little babe, Jameson, this past July and our family couldn't be more proud of the parents they have become! I feel so lucky to have been able to spend time and take some of the first photographs of little Jamo this past Thanksgiving at our family's home in wine country. Enjoy this lovely family! 

Kristen + Mikey's Berkeley Hills Engagement Session

My husband and I gladly get to take the credit for match making today's couple on the blog! Kristen and Mikey met in their college days, and they will be getting married in San Luis Obispo this coming June 2018! It's always a pleasure to take photos of couples in love, but it's even better when they are some of your closest friends!

Jenn + Andrew's Northern California Coastal Wedding

Jenn + Andrew were married on a gorgeous day in September in the Northern California coastal town of Gualala, Sea Ranch. They have a shared love of the ocean, and wanted to share it on their special day with loved ones. There were so many little touches that made Jenn + Andrew's day unique, from their handmade (by the bride!) spam masubi appetizers, their florals which were done by a friend in the family, to their beloved pup, Finn, the ring bearer. Jenn and Andrew's energy and happiness is infectious as you'll see from their beautiful smiles throughout the day!

Michelle + Alen's Morgan Hill Maternity Session

Michelle and Alen are such a lovely couple, who I am lucky enough to call family. We are all so excited for the two of them to finally be welcoming a baby boy into their lives, adding to their family and other baby, their labrador Willow. We spent a wonderful evening in Morgan Hill, and I hope you enjoy these gorgeous photos!

Caitlin + Josh's Surprise Ocean Beach Proposal

I was so thrilled when my good friend Megan reached out to me about her sister's surprise proposal. I think every photographer is waiting for the day they finally get to capture such a special moment for a couple. We made plans for me to hang out in the dunes of Ocean Beach, while Josh took Caitlin on a walk before he got down on one knee on a blanket that I had set out for them. The moment was beautiful, just the two of them perched on top of a beautiful sand dune in San Francisco.

Jenn + Andrew's City Engagement Session

Jenn + Andrew chose to do their engagement photos in and around their Mission District home in San Francisco, and we ended our day at Sutro Heights Park where Andrew popped the question earlier this year. These two are so comfortable and downright cute together, that you'll just have to look for yourself! 

Jenn + Andrew are getting married in the northern California coastal town of Gualala this next September, and I can't wait to be there to capture their big day!

Colleen + Robert's Neighborhood and Coastal Engagement

Colleen and Robert's engagement session in San Francisco was a beautiful example of the different landscapes you can find in this incredible city! We started our day in the quaint and colorful neighborhood of Cow Hollow that was bursting with blooming bougainvillea, and ended on the golden, rocky coastline of the Sutro Baths in the Outer Richmond. 

These two are so in love, and it is so evident in these photos. Enjoy!

I had the amazing opportunity to attend Danielle Poff's spring intimate workshop this April, and let me tell you - it was beautiful! Danielle's workshop is not only amazingly beautiful, it is jam packed with business tools and advice for wedding photographers.
